Renovation & New Construction

Start with a strong foundation. Build something extraordinary.

Timeline: Varies with scope

Investment: Tailored to your project

The best interiors don't happen by accident, they're designed from the ground up.

Whether you're building new or renovating an existing home, we collaborate with your architect and builder from day one. We ensure that every structural decision supports beautiful, livable interiors. That the lighting is placed where you'll actually need it. That the millwork is custom-crafted to your specifications, not pulled from a catalog.

Our network of skilled artisans, trusted contractors, and specialized suppliers means no detail is too complex, no vision too ambitious. We can manage the entire process or integrate seamlessly with your existing team whatever serves your project best.

Signature Kitchen & Bath

Elevate the rooms that work hardest for you.

Timeline: 14-20 weeks

Investment: Scaled to your project

Your kitchen isn't just where you cook, it's where you gather, connect, and create memories. Your bathroom should feel like a private retreat, not an afterthought.

We approach kitchen and bath design with both beauty and intelligence. Every cabinet pull is considered. Every tile placement is intentional. Every inch of counter space is optimized for how you actually cook, not how magazines say you should.

From the first floor plan to the final grout line, we manage contractors, track orders, and make site visits throughout construction. You get a space that functions flawlessly and looks like it belongs in your dream home—because it does.

WHY CLIENTS CHOOSE LUMINOSUS DESIGNS

Two Decades of Seamless Execution

Mimi's background isn't just in design—it's in making complex projects run smoothly. With extensive project management experience alongside her design expertise, she coordinates architects, contractors, and artisans with the kind of confidence that comes from doing this for 20 years. Milestones get met. Timelines hold. You can relax.

Furnishings Found Nowhere Else

Anyone can order from a catalog. We don't. Mimi maintains relationships with a curated network of vendors and artisans who create custom pieces specifically for your home. Your dining table, your lighting, your rugs—they're designed for your space, not mass-produced for everyone's. This is how we create interiors that feel cohesive, elevated, and entirely original.

Total Transparency

Log into your client portal anytime. See every selection. Track every order. Review the timeline. Ask questions. We believe you should always know exactly where your project stands—not because we want to overwhelm you with details, but because we want you to feel informed and in control.

The Experience Matters

Yes, you'll end up with a beautiful home. But you should also enjoy getting there. We handle the logistics, manage the stress, and make decisions clear. Our goal isn't just a successful project—it's a process you'll look back on fondly, not one that frayed your nerves.

QUESTIONS WE OFTEN HEAR

How do I know if hiring a designer is right for me?

If you'd rather think about how your kitchen should feel than research countertop materials for hours, you probably want a designer. If coordinating contractors sounds exhausting, you want a designer. If you care about the outcome more than managing every tiny decision, you definitely want a designer. We handle the details so you can focus on your vision and your life.

Is there a minimum project size?

Our full-service residential design works best for projects with a minimum investment of $50,000 in furnishings and materials. For smaller projects, we offer design consultation services. During our discovery call, we'll discuss your scope and recommend the best approach for your specific needs.

Can you work on new construction or additions?

Absolutely. In fact, we love being involved from the beginning. We collaborate with architects and builders to ensure your interiors are integrated into the design from day one proper lighting placement, custom millwork, intelligent space planning. The earlier we're involved, the better the final result.

How will you understand my style?

We start with our design questionnaire and your inspiration images, then we meet in person to see how you live and what you're drawn to. Throughout the process, we present concepts for your feedback. By the time we finalize the design, it's been refined through collaboration meaning it truly reflects you, not just our aesthetic imposed on your space.

What if I don't love something you present?

We refine it. Our process includes multiple review points specifically so you can give feedback before any orders are placed. Everything goes through your approval in the client portal. We're not done designing until you're completely confident in the direction.

How often will we communicate during the project?

During design development, we typically meet weekly or bi-weekly. During construction and installation, we provide regular updates and are always available for questions. You also have 24/7 access to your client portal to see progress, track orders, and stay informed.

Where do you work?

We're based in Westchester County, NY, and primarily serve Westchester County, Fairfield County, Northern New Jersey, and New York City. We also take on select national and international projects when there's a strong client relationship and the right project fit.

Do you work with my existing contractor?

We're happy to collaborate with contractors you already trust. We can also connect you with our network of skilled professionals if you need recommendations. Whatever works best for your project.

How does pricing work?

Every project is different, so we tailor our fees to match the scope and complexity. During your initial consultation, we provide a detailed proposal outlining services and investment. We believe in clarity from the start, no hidden fees, no surprises.
